ONE NIGHT ONLY

SYNOPSIS:

Time Warp into one of our Frank-N-Furter Fridays Hosted Screenings 💋

Get ready for some partici… pation!

Generally credited as being the best-known cinematic “Midnight Movie”, for decades now The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been a “Cult Classic” in every sense of the word.

Starring the inimitable Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon, the bizarre, over-the-top, and very unapologetic sci-fi/horror musical/gender-bending rock opera is a true, undeniable legend of cinema!

But it’s not just the film itself… far from it, even! THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is all about the fans… and more specifically, the audience participation! Rocky Horror is the first and only true audience partici- (SAY IT!)-pation movie. People yell back lines at the screen during the extended pauses between dialogue, dress up in costume and act out the film, and throw props various times during the film. Think of it as one part dinner theatre, one part drag show, one part roast, and of course, all parts insanity

With free participation kits for all guests, and hosted by Brisbane drag royalty – the most fabulous drag queens on the scene, MAXI-BON at Dendy Coorparoo and SHU SHU FUNTANNA at Dendy Cinemas Portside, this will be night to remember.

So, dress for a trip to Transylvania with our sing-along, dance-a-long screening of this timeless cultural phenomenon.

Screening at Dendy Cinemas Coorparoo and Dendy Cinemas Portside October 13, 2023, you can great tickets here: https://www.dendy.com.au/the-rocky-horror-picture-show—frank-n-furter-fridays/

Climate change is humanity’s greatest challenge as we delve into what frustrates Tim, what motivates him, and where he believes the solutions lie. This immersive journey takes Tim from his early days as a palaeontologist when he first encountered climate change, to his tireless efforts at the Copenhagen COP in 2009 which failed to deliver, to fending off deeply personal attacks from deniers and right-wing media, to the COP26 in Glasgow 2021, and onto today’s ever pressing challenges of geopolitical troubles, and the fossil fuel industry’s obstruction to change.
