After being expelled from Barbie Land for being a less-than-perfect doll, the eccentric and individualistic Barbie (Robbie) sets off to the real world to find true happiness with Ken (Gosling) right by her side. When her home world is in peril, Barbie returns with the knowledge that what makes her different also makes her stronger.
