SEASON RUNS 14 and 21 October
SYNOPSIS:
Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo, and Juliet walk into a bar…
Calling Shakespeare lovers, Shakespeare loathers, and everyone in between! Pop on down to Elements Collective to join The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble’s Shakespeare’s Shorts team in a night of rambunctious laughter and ridiculous antics as part of Brisbane Fringe Festival.
Audiences can first enjoy a drink or two at the EC Venue hub’s bar before heading in to the Blackbox Studio where all the action is set to happen! There, QSE’s Shorts’ actors will transform Shakespeare’s most popular works into highly physical, bite-size fun where th audience chooses which short makes the stage! You won’t see that anywhere else!
Audiences first saw Pick and (re)Mix back in May at The Loft, West End where QSE debuted it for Anywhere Theatre Festival to a widely positive response:
“10/10, it was a lovely high energy and exciting night!” – Audience member
“An easily accessible professional production.” – Audience member
Now, after thriving from the opportunities and support from one Brisbane festival, Shakespeare Pick and (re)Mix is back for Brisbane’s new Fringe Festival! No matter which story is chosen, there will be guaranteed hijinks, musical interludes, dance numbers, and wooden-sword-wheeling for audiences to enjoy and delivered with the ensemble’s trademark clarity and accessibility.
Thanks to Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble
